HERBAL SMOKING: HARMLESS WAY TO SMOKE

Many people around the world are going in for a new trend – herbal smoking, also popularly known as legal bud smoking. Legal bud smoking is basically inhaling fumes of different herbs either through specialized chillums, pipes or by rolling them in cigarette paper.

Herbal highs are legal in US and many other countries and these are easily accessible. The natural high is obtained from herbal blends, herbs, and sometimes by using extracts. A natural euphoric high is different than that gotten with alcohol. These herbs have been used in traditional tribal teas and shamanic potions for centuries.

A large variety of these herbs is branded as legal buds. American manufacturers obtain these herbs from Mexico or the Hawaiian islands, where the herbs grow in secret plantation. There is wide market for smokers of legal buds in America. Some believes that it gives exactly the same high as you obtain by smoking pure marijuana, this is a misconception. Majority of these herbs provide ‘highs’, but it is short-lived.

It is believed that herbal smoking is less harmful than tobacco smoking. Herbal cigarettes contain no nicotine. Some cigarette manufacturers even claim that these blends do not have adverse affect on children. However, health experts have different view point. They say that burning leaves releases tar that affects the lungs. Herbal mixtures do create a desire or craving to smoke repeatedly. The only effect of herbal smoke that has been proven is that it numbs the nervous system but doctors still recommend herbal smoking rather than tobacco smoking.
